Elizabeth Drake McDonald Bob Nolan
My treasured friend
Elizabeth McDonald, friend of the Bob Nolan provided several of the previously
unrecorded songs that Dave Bourne chose for our Lobo Rangers CD “SONG POEMS of
BOB NOLAN.
Visit the magnificently
informative Web Site
http://www.bobnolan-sop.net created
by Elizabeth McDonald and Calin Coburn, Bob Nolan's only grandson, to learn about this Founding Member of "THE SONS
OF THE PIONEERS" who composed the many Western Classics that have become the
standard for excellence and are treasured by music lovers the World over.
This version of
the Lobos featured life long friends Don Richardson, Dave and Patty Bourne and
an extraordinary songwriter named Michael Fleming. To one extent or another all
durable bands are families and the best must pass the test of being more than
the some of its parts. Love of music in general and for what makes a particular
group of musicians unique, fires all the hard work required.
That
Providence has given us this time, this art form and this place to share, is a
great and humbling gift.
