Bill Hazel, Cowboy Poet and Fast Draw Artist recites "Dutchman's Gold" with The Wagonmasters on our Last Frontier CD Rain It's the middle of the afternoon and rain is falling down, Rustling softly thru the trees and running on the ground. My dog lies silent, watching, nose twitching, eyes alert, She likes the smell of falling rain as it splatters in the dirt.
A bird or two goes flying by on their constant quest for grain. They search for seeds and bits of food, impervious to the rain. I watch it all from my window, my window upon the earth And I marvel at how the rain that falls symbolically replicates birth.
It's nature's way of healing, giving life to one and all. This rain that's falling in my yard, God's blessing does recall. His cycle of life continues, we come, we live, we go, Like us, this rain that's falling now is part of God's great show. Bill Hazel - 10/20/04
